We’re back from Vegas, and confirming the date for the CapSec for this month:

If we are not in the back yard, we’ll be at the big tables near the jukeboxes. We reserve the right to change venues as the evening wears on — Last month we had about a dozen people, and migrated to DC9 later on. Call/email/twitter someone if you are showing up very late to check where we are.

Work allowing, I’ll try to get there before 7 and secure table space.

Just a reminder, CapSec is this Wednesday! See you there!

Afterwards, we may take a field trip to the HacDC headquarters depending on what time we wrap up and people’s interest.

CapSec will be at the end of the month. Our “last Wednesday” brings us very late in the month, as there are five of them in July this year.

Just a heads up to any of our readers who may find it of interest, it appears that the Baltimore CitySec, CharmSec, has got itself recurring regularly. Hooray for more CitySecs!!

Next month, CharmSec follows the day after CapSec if anyone is up that way and interested in dropping by.

Their website is here, and I will stick it in our blogroll for future reference.

Next CapSec is slated for 6/25, Next CharmSec is slated for 6/26.

Change may be scary. But we’re incorporating two changes into this months — one permanent (the switching of the meeting to the last Wednesday of every month), and one trial — switching the venue to Stetson’s, at least for the end of Spring or so.

Ideally, we’ll be out back on the patio, and a few of us may get there early to get a table. You can walk there from Metro, either the U Street Cardoza Metro on the Green/Yellow, or Dupont on the Red line.

I must admit that I’ll be bugging out early, but Matt and hopefully others will be there.

The next CapSec date (3/27) is right around the corner, but most of the regulars are going to be on travel or in training.

Is anyone interested in coming? If I see some responses, I will call “game on” and post it for real.

Topics of discussion (other than what beer to try this week) will hopefully include the usual current events, with possibly ShmooCon wrap-up and thoughts, and maybe Black Hat DC if someone made the trek.

I try to get there closer to 7, but no promises as I’ll be out of town for part of that week and may be playing catch-up.

We are usually upstairs at the round table just below the little raised section — though if we get enough people, we’ll move to a big table.
