Hey folks, sorry about the late posting — This month’s CapSec is upon us!!

CapSecDC
Wednesday June 25th, 7:00 PM

Stetson’s
1610 U St NW
Washington DC 20009

If you’re looking for us, unless it’s raining, we’ll be out in the back yard — go ALL the way down the bar, past the bathrooms, and thorugh the little hallway to the back, and look for us amongst the plastic tables and chairs.

Please RSVP here or on Upcoming if you know ahead of time that you can make it.

Work allowing, I’ll try to get there before 7 and secure table space.

Just a heads up to any of our readers who may find it of interest, it appears that the Baltimore CitySec, CharmSec, has got itself recurring regularly. Hooray for more CitySecs!!

Next month, CharmSec follows the day after CapSec if anyone is up that way and interested in dropping by.

Their website is here, and I will stick it in our blogroll for future reference.

Next CapSec is slated for 6/25, Next CharmSec is slated for 6/26.

This month’s CapSec is next week!

NOTE THE NEW VENUE!

CapSecDC
Wednesday May 28th, 7:00 PM

Stetson’s
1610 U St NW
Washington DC 20009

Change may be scary. But we’re incorporating two changes into this months — one permanent (the switching of the meeting to the last Wednesday of every month), and one trial — switching the venue to Stetson’s, at least for the end of Spring or so.

Ideally, we’ll be out back on the patio, and a few of us may get there early to get a table. You can walk there from Metro, either the U Street Cardoza Metro on the Green/Yellow, or Dupont on the Red line.

Come join us!

WE HAVE CHANGED THE DATE OF THIS WEEK’S MEETING.

Due to a variety of circumstances, we will be meeting on Wednesday this month.

This month’s CapSec is on the horizon (next week!)

CapSecDC
Wednesday April 23th, 7:00 PM

The Brickskeller
1523 22nd St NW
Washington DC 20037

I have training, but it’s local, so I should be able to be there, maybe a tad late.

Hope to see everyone there!

Trying to give people a little more notice this month, now that Shmoocon is out of the way.

Come join the usual cast of crazies at

CapSecDC
Thursday February 28th, 7:30 PM

The Brickskeller
1523 22nd St NW
Washington DC 20037

Topics of discussion (other than what beer to try this week) will hopefully include the usual current events, with possibly ShmooCon wrap-up and thoughts, and maybe Black Hat DC if someone made the trek.

I try to get there closer to 7, but no promises as I’ll be out of town for part of that week and may be playing catch-up.

We are usually upstairs at the round table just below the little raised section — though if we get enough people, we’ll move to a big table.

Please RSVP if you think you can make it here, or on Upcoming.

It’s getting towards that time of the month — “Last Thursday” is only a week away.

So, that means it’s time to start hollering about the January CapSec meetup at the Brickskeller.

Though if you get there a little early, we won’t tell. Matt and I tried to make it around 7 last time.

We are usually upstairs at the round table just below the little raised section — though if we get enough people, we’ll move to a big table. Maybe we can take over the balcony some day . . . Please RSVP if you think you can make it.

Mark Bristow and myself spoke at Refresh DC this week, on the topic of Web Application Security.

Here is that presentation as PDF, as PPT, or you can view it on Adobe’s Share service (though there are conversion issues with images on the title page).
